Jeremy Appleton (Advisory Council Chair) is a licensed naturopathic physician and certified nutrition specialist. He has a broad range of experience from clinical practice, academia and dietary supplement research and development. Dr. Appleton was nutrition department chair at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. He is a writer and educator in the field of evidence-based integrative medicine and co-author of MSM—the Definitive Guide, with Stanley Jacob, MD, FACS. Dr. Appleton has been widely published in health journals and newswire services, and is a frequent lecturer on topics relating to MSM, clinical nutrition and botanical medicine.
Stanley Jacob has held the Gerlinger Chair in Surgery at the Oregon Health & Sciences University Medical School since 1981. He was chief resident in surgery for Harvard Medical Service at Boston City Hospital, and also served as an instructor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Jacob is considered the leading medical authority on MSM having pioneered its clinical use in patients and documenting case studies of its efficacy for over 20 years. Dr. Jacob has received numerous honors and awards for his work including the German Science Award for the world's most significant medical contribution and Humanitarian of the Year Award from the National Health Federation. He is author of 150 scientific articles and seven medical textbooks.
